While i almost thought about leaving a good review, my 'superior' king room had a fan, not air conditioning-absoluteley ridiculous. The noise from the front rooms made it hard to sleep soundly, i was expecting a warm welcome gift and just woudl ve been so pleased. Such a letdown this place turned out to be.

It was luxurious, bright and with 4 poster bed. I enjoyed the different food they offered.

Loved the location in the immaculately beautiful garden at the bottom. The lunch in Spice Hut extremely close to the hotel had every choice imaginable. The breakfast was fresh made and good hot, such variety, with pork sausages and eggs served fresh from the garden and bacon.

The breakfast spread includes fresh cooked options from a varied menu like full English and smoked salmon scrambled eggs, setting it apart. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate. A bottle of water in the room added a nice touch for a comfortable stay.
Noise from the front rooms could disrupt sleep, particularly if the windows are open in warmer weather. While the room had a fan, it lacked air conditioning, which might be an issue during hotter months.

Penralley house was an amazing find! The location is just perfect for exploring the beautiful elam valley. Steve, our host, was super chill and really helpful with tips on where to go. Breakfast was to die for, specially the poached eggs! Plus, we loved the charming gardens and comfy king room with great views.
the parking can be a lil tight for bigger cars, and it can get a bit noisy at times from outside.

beautiful place but lacking in comfort
The hotel is immaculately presented with amazing character. The location is ideal for exploring mid-Wales, close to the town centre. The gardens offer fine mountain views, which enhance the overall experience.
The superior king room was not very quiet due to noise from outside.

Great place for cyclists!
Steve was super chill and even let us store our bikes in a locked shed. The breakfast spread was epic and the homemade cake on arrival was a lovely touch. Only issue was the parking. Kinda tight for bigger cars. Enjoyed a comfy stay and the local pub recommendations were spot on.

Just a good match for a lightning trip in Rhayader with real value for money. Steve was super helpful, even giving us great local dining tips. Consider parking early. It gets a bit tight as the day goes on.
